The O’Hare Group was founded by Laura O’Hare, an industry veteran with 20 years of experience in public relations and corporate communications. Having executed successful campaigns both in-house and on the agency side, Laura brings an acute understanding of what it takes to support brands of all shapes and sizes, startups to Fortune 500 leaders, across a range of industries including fashion and beauty, home and design, travel and hospitality, publishing and media, consumer products, and more.
After managing multiple teams during her career and eventually leading human resources for an award-winning communications firm, Laura launched the O’Hare Group to help organizations recruit the right talent to fill crucial roles, from senior executives and directors to account managers and coordinators. She has a passion for matching qualified candidates to unique opportunities that create a win-win for the individual and for the brand, setting both up for success and on a path to a brighter future.
Prior to launching her recruitment firm, Laura served as Vice President of Human Resources and Operations at HL Group. In addition to sourcing talent for all title levels and overseeing employee relations, Laura supported practice area leaders across consumer and lifestyle PR, corporate affairs, social media, and event production to develop team structures and define responsibilities.
Previously at HL Group, Laura worked as Managing Director leading clients such as Dolce & Gabbana, Harry Winston, Rachel Roy, TOMS Shoes, Starwood Capital Group, The New Yorker, and many others. During her tenure with the agency, she led all Fashion Week staffing and operations, spearheading up to 35 events and shows per season.
Laura built the foundation of her career overseeing public relations in-house at Donna Karan, Michael Kors, Hermes of Paris, Nicole Farhi, French Connection, and Vera Wang.
